All the boys tried to chase her, but Justin Bieber is the only one with Carly Rae Jepsen's number.
The 26-year-old singer/songwriter and Canadian Idol alum has a lot to be happy about. She became the fourth Canadian artist to top the Canadian Billboard Hot 100 chart with her song "Call Me Maybe," signed an exciting new record deal and may have recorded a new track with the man who started it all, Justin Bieber.

When Jepsen first heard that Bieber had tweeted about how "catchy" her song was, she told CTV News, "I [feel] like [I've] been hit with lucky stick. It's really, really wonderful and surprising and I'm still in shock as you can see." However, this was just the first step in a long line of wonderfully lucky events coming her way.
Less than a week ago, the Biebs, along with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and members of Boys Like Girls and Big Time Rush, starred in their own music video for bubbly pop track and it became a viral sensation overnight. Since its posting, the video has garnered more than seven million views and boosted Jepsen's Twitter following by adding approximately 100,000 followers to her account.
The good news continued as Jepsen announced on MuchMusic's "New Music Live" that she had signed with Schoolboy Records, the same record label as Justin Bieber and owned by his manager Scooter Braun. Braun and Bieber even called into the show to congratulate Jepsen and encourage everyone purchase her new EP, "Curiosity." Bieber also alluded to the possibility of a future collaboration with Jepsen, which may have become a reality when she journeyed to Los Angeles earlier this week.

While in L.A., the new SchoolBoy Records team member tweeted that she "may have worked on a little song" with Bieber and accompanied it by posting a photo of her and Canada's Golden Boy together in the studio.
February has been quite the roller coaster ride for the British Columbia native and we can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for her.
