TORONTO — How do you bring together four musicians from different Canadian rock bands to create one super group?
“Scheduling has been very difficult,” admits Mike Turner, formerly of Our Lady Peace. “But when it’s what you love, you make time.”
Adds Edwin, ex-frontman of I Mother Earth: “It’s really a labour of love.”

The two men make up half of Crash Karma — the other members are Jeff Burrows of The Tea Party and Amir Epstein of Zygote — which performs Wednesday night in Ottawa and Friday night in Toronto.
“We’re all fans of each other’s music so it was easy to push each other to be the guy that we thought was great,” Edwin explained during an appearance on Global’s The Morning Show.
The band is on the road supporting its second album, Rock Musique Deluxe. The rockers worked with British producer Terry Brown (Rush, Cutting Crew) on several songs before parting ways.
“No disrespect to Terry but we finished it on our own,” Turner says, “and we’re really happy with the result.”
